I never expect tokens of gratitude when I work with an organization. Their trust in my professional skills and the opportunity to with them is thanks enough for me!
That being said – you should have seen the SMILE on my face when Random Acts of Flowers gifted me with this beautiful bouquet at our retreat on Friday. They are beautiful, smell awesome and I know that they were assembled with great care by dedicated volunteers.
I have had the recent opportunity to work with the Random Acts of Flowers National Team and Knoxville Branch. They are a dynamic, passionate and committed team of professionals. Our retreat, and the weeks in preparation leading up to it, were a blessing for this facilitator/consultant.
Random Acts of Flowers does amazing work and makes the difference in the lives of so many! They recycle and repurpose flowers by engaging dedicated volunteer teams to deliver beautiful bouquets and moments of kindness to individuals in healthcare facilities across the country.
Since 2008, they have delivered 115,000+ smiles and recycled 132,000+ vases nationwide. Over 54,000+ volunteer hours have been served throughout the Random Acts of Flowers branches.
The numbers themselves are impressive but in my opinion cannot come close to capturing the true impact of their work. How do you quantify improving the quality of life for someone else? How do you measure making someone’s day, week, month- even year?
I have tremendous respect for the commitment of Random Acts of Flowers to enhance their organizational culture and was honored to be a part of their journey.
During the day long retreat we focused on communication, productivity, accountability, well-being and fun! In my preparation for the day I came across the following two articles on culture’s impact on productivity;
How Culture Affects Productivity
How Corporate Culture Affects Productivity
I am blessed beyond measure in this work and my life. Thank you, Random Acts of Flowers!
